EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: In this special episode of Two Bottles In, we have an extremely exciting special guest; award-winning activist Marc Thompson. The theme of Episode 14 is “The World Loves a Stereotype”. We talk to Marc about his incredible career and achieved some incredible strides against stigma. Speaking out against stigma, racism, and homophobia. Talking about Stereotypes and how people are influenced by society to automatically put people in their boxes without understanding or embracing change. We discuss how this has influenced the drive to stand up and talk about change and activate the activist in all of us. How we need to stand together to embrace each other and understand diversity is all around us. Its a deeper episode than usual. But this was a very special one for Phillip and I and we hope you think so too.
Marc is a black gay positive man and is so passionate and driven. He has inspired both Phillip and me with the work we have done together in our previous roles. He has gone on to bigger projects and is one of the founders of Prepster the leading campaign in the UK for PREP. He also is an editor for Black Out UK an amazing digital space to empower and inspire black gay men in the UK.
This is an incredible honour for us, Marc is a dear friend but is also an incredible activist and we couldn’t be more proud of him and the spectacular things he has achieved. It is a bit of a special episode as we wanted to focus fully on our special guest and this month’s theme. We’ll return to normal programming next month.
A great evening, with a great guest, and afterwards a fabulous Eurovision party hosted by myself (Vix) and Lawrence. Portuguese themed as they were this year’s Eurovision Hosts, we made sure the drinking game included some amazing Portuguese liqueurs and spirits.
