This was a quick-fire purchase last week as it was on sale in Majestic and I do have a soft spot for a bottle of blush fizz. Luckily within 24hrs of purchasing this bottle of Bouvet Brut Rose I had an excuse to pop the cork and sample it. I have never tried anything from Bouvet Ladubay before but I certainly was not disappointed.
One thing people laugh at me for is that I can’t stand fizz. This sound ridiculous considering the amount of prosecco and sparkling wines I drink. But I mean I can’t stand too much gas. I want the bubbles in a sparkling to be soft and rich. The Bouvet Brut Rose Brut delivered. The taste was medium dry with rich raspberry and apricot. It was delicious. So much so that I am ordering a case of it for the festive season. Why not serve it with a dash of cassis to create a richer festive taste? This is a great value bottle which can be appreciated by everyone.
I think this would be a lovely Christmas gift when you are heading off to all those festive dinner parties and drinks. Try it see what you think, I promise you won’t be disappointed
